Great Framelit Storage Idea

This super duper brilliant idea came from Connie Stewart at Simply Simple Stamping! Connie is the queen of Flash Cards and Flash Cards 2.0. I love making her Flash Cards and working with the Flash Card pieces. She is amazing! Her videos are funny and informative!

In September when I was visiting my daughter, she purchased a nifty framelit storage system from Joann's for half price...

I had this same system on my Christmas Wish List until I saw Connie's system. If I don't convince you otherwise with this post, as of today, Joann's had the Artbin Magnetic Storage System for $10.99 (regular price $21.99). This storage system comes with 3 magnetic sheets.

This is what my pile of Framelits looked like...

I have 12 packages of Framelits (love those things) and was storing them in a box but was quickly outgrowing the box (it also houses my Bigz Dies and Embossing Folders). Plus I would have to look through all of them every time I wanted one! No rhyme or reason to my system:(

Okay, now for the coolest Framelit storage EVER!

After watching Connie's video, I purchased an 8" X 8" scrapbook album at Stampin' Up!'s Clearance Rack for $5.99. It is a 3-ring system and came with 10 page protectors. I have another package of 10 page protectors in case I need them.

Then I had hubby purchase two packages of 8" X 15" Magnetic Vent Covers. They came three to a package so that takes care of all 12 Framelits I currently have. He got these at Lowe's for $5 per package. The Artbin Magnetic Die Sheets are regularly $11.99 for 3 sheets 7.5" X 9" (today they are on sale for $5.99 at Joann's).

After cutting the Magnetic Vent Covers in half, the fun began! I love organizing stuff! If only I could get the rest of my craft room organized:(

On some of the pages there is room for more Framelits if I needed to use it. However, I have them alphabetized so will likely just add more pages.

I did cheat a little and put three packages of Edgelits on one page. I titled the page Edgelits and then labeled the individual Edgelits.

I LOVE my new Framelits Storage System and it has plenty of room for expansion. I will just purchase another package of Magnetic Vent Covers and be ready for my next 6 Framelits:)

Be sure to check out Connie's blog and her video on making this super cool storage system.

Happy Stamping!

From Shabby Chic ATC to Shabby Chic Card

I was looking through my pictures trying to see what I hadn't posted yet and this little lovely popped up! I haven't posted it because I was sending it to one of my very special downline ladies--well, they are all special but you know what I mean:) Her husband is stationed in Japan so of course she is living in Japan. Why, I don't know! We tried to tell her he could get along without her for a couple of years so she could stay here with us but she didn't buy it:( Anyway, I am hoping she has received this card by the time she sees this post. If not, sorry for spoiling the surprise, Margarita!

Do you remember the ATC (Artist Trading Card) Swap I participated in last summer? Of course you do! But for those who are new to my blog you can see my ATC here. The swaps that were supposed to come to me never arrived but it was fun just to participate by doing something I had never done before. An Artist Trading Card is 2 1/2" X 3 1/2". Some people just collect and display them like you would baseball cards; others incorporate them onto cards or scrapbooking pages. I decided to turn mine into a card.

I had the card all finished but decided it needed something; a little more color. So, I consulted my Color Coach! WOW! If you don't have one you need to get one! It is invaluable when you are stuck on what color to use. I looked up the card for Pink Pirouette (the main color used on this card) and it steered me to Pool Party. I NEVER would have thought to use Pool Party but it was the perfect color!

For this card I used the following Stampin' Up! supplies:

  • Paper: Pink Pirouette, Very Vanilla, Baked Brown Suger and Whisper White
  • Stamps: Creative Elements, En Francais, Papillon Potpourri, That's the Ticket
  • Ink: Baked Brown Sugar, Crumb Cake, Pool Party
  • Punches: Ticket Punch (retired) for corners and Bitty Butterfly
  • Other: Chantilly Crocheted Trim (retired), Antique Brad, Linen Thread, Basic Pearls, Tea Lace Doily, Glue Dots and lots of Dimensionals
This is definitely my favorite of all the cards I've made! While I love this style, I am waayyy too slow to make very many of this type of card!

Have a great day!

Santa's List Post Card

My kitchen sink is still plugged so I am still doing dishes "camping style":(

I have walked two days on the treadmill this week. Although I think I am going to have to only walk every other day and do Pilates on the off days to stretch. The walking is causing a lot of pain to my lower back and neck so the stretching should help.

We got our first frost last night but it was a light one. The killing frost is still to come but hubby got the tomatoes and peppers brought in so they are safe. Even a light frost will make the tomatoes taste nasty! We have beautiful sunshine today but the temperature didn't quite reach 50 degrees (F).

Are you wondering about our sauerkraut? Well, it was two weeks Sunday since we made it. We can't take the lid off to peek so just have to hope that our diligence with the temperature is paying off. We have two more weeks to go before we can taste it. Then about two weeks after that we can move it into the root cellar to store for winter use. Sauerkraut is sooo good for your digestive system...as good as taking probiotics and a whole lot cheaper. You can read about the benefits of sauerkraut here and here.

Okay, now on to the card for today...

Santa's List is one of those stamp sets I bought but wasn't sure what I was going to do with it. My Happy Stampers made a card at our last stamping club meeting and you can see it here. Then I saw this super cute card on Pinterest and since I was wanting to order the Post Card stamp and Gorgeous Grunge (for the speckles), decided to get everything I needed and make it! I have been looking for the last hour for the original designer of this card and finally found her! Whoo Hoo! I would hate to not give due credit for this great card design. Her name is Jane Goldman and you can see her card at Petite Fleur Paperie . I really wanted to angle my post card like she did but evidently didn't cut my base card the right size. I love the way I can control the spots with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set. I used the stamp off method so as to get more subtle spotting. I sponged all the edges and the paper doily with Crumb Cake ink.

For this card I used the following Stampin' Up! supplies:

  • Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White
  • Stamps: Santa's List; Post Card
  • Ink: Crumb Cake, Baked Brown Sugar and Cherry Cobble
  • Other: Tea Lace Paper Doily, Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine
What! No Dimensionals?!!! Not on this card!

I hope you enjoyed this very cute card and please, stop over to see Jane's creations at Petite Fleur Paperie.

Have a great day...or what's left of it!

Happy Homemaker Monday

I really enjoy Happy Homemaker Monday. It just makes Monday a little less...Monday! Sunday Night Chit-Chat and Happy Homemaker Monday help me to jump-start my blogging week, especially if I'm not feeling particularly bloggy:)

So, what is going on in my neck of the woods? First of all, there are NO WOODS here. If you want trees, ya gotta plant them!

As I look outside my window...
Windy and sunny with dark clouds starting to move in. At 1:00 in the afternoon it is still only 46 degrees (F)! We haven't had a frost yet so still have leaves on the trees and flowers blooming in the flower beds. But I fear not for long.

Right now I am...
Procrastinating on getting out on the treadmill by doing this blog post.

Thinking and pondering...
About things I need to get done and things I want to do. I am thinking about what gifts I want to make for Christmas and how much time I have left to get them done in. I am also trying to decide what I want to do as my Design Team project for The Cupboard Trilogy Challenges. When I see the projects people submit I am humbled. However, my "style" is a lot more clean and simple than some. I do admire the fussy though!

On my bedside table...
Actually, it's starting to look like a Jenga Puzzle! I am still reading How to be Organized in Spite of Yourself by Sunny Schlenger and Roberta Roesch. I am reading Snow Bride by Debbie Macomber on the Kindle App for my iPad (love checking books out from the library this way). Then I am listening to the audio version of Daddy's Gone A Hunting by Mary Higgins Clark.

On my TV tonight...
Nothing! I need to find a series to watch so I can get some knitting/crocheting done for Christmas.

Playing on the radio...
Again, nothing! Pretty quiet around here except for English Bulldog snores:)

On the menu for this week...

Monday -- Leftover Vegetable Stew
Tuesday -- Pinto bean and rice
Wednesday --
Thursday --
Friday -- Potato Soup
Saturday --
Sunday -- Mizidra

On my to do list...

  • Working on my list of 20 things to do before Thanksgiving to get this house "company ready" (deep cleaning stuff)
  • Laundry--always laundry! I try to do one or two loads per day except weekends.
  • Walking on the treadmill
  • Design Team projects for The Cupboard Trilogy Challenges
  • Swap cards--Need six Christmas cards for this swap (all the same)
  • Box up and take stuff to Thrift Store (didn't get done last week so got moved to this week)
What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating...
I will be making cards again this week but NEED to get some crocheting, knitting and sewing done. My craft table is my "happy place":)

What I found while surfing the net...
I know Sandra hasn't had this one on for awhile but I just had to tell you about One Good Thing by Jillee! Frequently on Pinterest when I would find a tip or idea worthy of pinning, it would take me to the same website...One Good Thing by Jillee! One of my favorites was her recent post 30 Little Known Uses for Household Borax! If you want some GREAT ideas, check out this blog.

My simple pleasure...
A glass of iced ZipFizz following my exercise!

Lesson learned the past week...
I CAN do spur of the moment and survive! A few deep breaths, a prayer for strength and it can be done!

Looking around the house...
Kitchen sink still plugged so the plunger is in the sink for the next go-round:( The dishes are done via plastic tubs on the counter! The rest of the house looks good. Maybe a little "lived in" but good! It looks like there are still a few toys left in the dogs' toy box!

From the camera...

Our "butchered" tree has really branched out and leafed out! Just in time to lose all it's leaves (soon). I love the way the Barberry and Burning Bush look in the fall. Obviously, this picture is taken from the field facing the house.

On my prayer list...

  • A friend who asked that I pray for her. She is not sure where God wants her to be so would like some direction.
  • Direction as to where to give our Christmas Jar this year.
  • Friends who are going through difficulties.
Bible verse/devotional:
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9, 10

Have a great day and I hope you get a little time for crafting, reading or whatever makes you truly happy!

Wonderfall Frame Swap Card

Last week I received my swap card from my friend and downline, Margarita. Please forgive that it is a little smooshed! She is living in Japan and sent it with a protective wrapper plus in a padded envelope but it still got smooshed! I love this card and what she did with it! Check out the Wood Grain embossing on Core'dinations paper for the background! Simply stunning!

You can find an instructional video for making this card on Dawn Griffith's blog Dawn's Stamping Thoughts

For this card she used the following Stampin' Up! supplies:
  • Paper: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla and Cajun Craze cardstock; Early Espresso Core'dinations Sandable Cardstock
  • Stamp sets: Wonderfall and Feel Goods
  • Ink: Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Old Olive, Summer Starfruit, More Mustard and Pumpkin Pie
  • Big Shot with Autumn Accents Bigz Die, Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Ovals Framelits
  • Other: Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Basic Rhinestones

She even prettied up the inside! Thank you Margarita for this very pretty and fancy card! I am looking forward to seeing your Christmas Swap Card!

I will be back a little later with Happy Homemaker Monday!

Sunday Night Chit-Chat

Hi and welcome to the Sunday Night Chit-Chat! We are hosted each week by Carla at My 1/2 Dozen Daily

My picture tonight is of the racking for our new solar array! I will do a post on this soon! The lower part of the picture is our greenhouse.

I am...

Reading...The Snow Bride by Debbie Macomber and still reading How to Organized in Spite of Yourself by Sunny Schlenger and Roberta Roesch.

Listening to...Rocky (the English Bulldog) snoring.

Watching...We just watched the movie Yogi Bear! It was cute:)

Cooking/Baking...I made Vegetable Stew today as it was a soup kinda day--dreary, rainy, cold.

Happy I accomplished this week...I walked on the treadmill 4 days this week (also did 4 days the week before); I am working up to 5 days a week.

Looking forward to next week...Getting our new solar array hooked up and operational. Also looking forward to my kitchen sink getting unclogged. I have been doing dishes "camping style" for nearly a week now:(

Thankful for today...A nice warm fire in our wood stove. I am also thankful that we have our wood for the winter.

*Bonus Question* Am I looking forward to Halloween? We don't do Halloween. We live 16 miles from the nearest teeny tiny town so don't get trick-or-treaters.

Okay, that's it for me tonight! See you tomorrow for Happy Homemaker Monday!

Fancy Fold Card

My Happy Stampers Stampin' Up! order arrived today! Hip-Hip-Hooray!!! I always love going through the order and bagging it up for everyone:) I also love playing with my new stamping stuff! I know where I will be spending the afternoon and evening today! Plus now I have enough Very Vanilla card stock to finish those 10 in 30 thank you cards I was working on!

Yesterday I was privileged to be invited to participate in my upline Vicki's stamping group workshop! WOW! The ladies really came out for this one! I think there must have been 12-15 people there! Check out the card we made...

This picture shows the card with the belly band on to hold it closed. We also made matching envelopes using the NEW Envelope Punch Board!

Card with belly band off.

This is the card opened up! If you know the name of this type of card, please let me know. Neither Vicki nor I could remember.

The base for the card was Crumb Cake card stock and Very Vanilla was used for the pieces I stamped on. I forgot to look at the name of the stamp set but it is a long time retired Stampin' Up! set. The finished size of the card is 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" so all we had to do was find the size of the card printed on the Envelope Punch Board to know what size paper we needed and the first score to make for our envelopes. Super easy!

Now, Vicki had us all spoiled because she cut everything out for us and even scored the card!!! No, Happy Stampers, that is NOT going to happen for you! lol All we had to do was stamp and assemble!

Thanks, Vicki for a fun time and this super cute card! I look forward to doing it again sometime.

Have a great day and...Happy Stamping!!!

Gently Falling Live Simply

Another beautiful day in Eastern Oregon! I could really get used to these beautiful 70 degree days!

Yesterday I worked on my 10 cards in 30 minutes. Well, it didn't go quite that easy for me but I still did pretty good. The Burlap Ribbon gave me a few fits but I finally got it to working okay. Then I ran out of Very Vanilla card stock! I have more coming tomorrow so have the insides of 4 cards left to go! I should be able to mail out my downline cards on Thursday and will have my customer thank you cards ready by then too.

Today I am going to visit a group that my upline, Vicki, has going. She has invited me so many times but it has never worked out till today. So excited to see what projects she has for her ladies to do!

I have been wanting the Gently Falling stamp set since it came out in the Holiday Catalog a couple years ago. It is one of the more spendy sets so I kept putting it off but finally took the plunge and ordered it last month! I am sooo happy! I have a big smile on my face the whole time I am using this beautiful Two-step stamp set:D For this card I stamped off for the solid stamp and used the ink full strength for the outline stamp--gorgeous! The Gently Falling stamp set is 25% off on a special sale Stampin' Up! is having to celebrate their 25th Anniversary. Check out the 25% off 25 Stamp Sets!

This was the first time I have ever tried the Core'dinations card stock! Oh. What. Fun! I ran it though the Big Shot using the Wood Grain Embossing Folder and then sanded it to let the core show through. I will definitely be using more of this! Right now you can get the Core'dinations card stock in three or four colors at the Stampin' Up! Clearance Rack. The Ribbon Slide is also on the Clearance Rack. To place an order, email me or go to www.stampinup.com and choose me (Kathy Skinner, Arlington, OR) as your demonstrator if you don't already have someone!

The card was CASEd from one I saw on Pinterest by Christine Miller at My Stamp Lady. Thank you Christine for this great use of the Gently Falling stamp set!

For the card above I used the following Stampin' Up! products:

  • Paper: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Cajun Craze, Old Olive and Early Espresso Core'dinations card stock
  • Stamp Sets: Trust God and Gently Falling
  • Ink: Old Olive, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie
  • Other: Black grosgrain ribbon (unknown source); ribbon slide, Glue Dots and Dimensionals
I really got chatty today! Good thing I don't do that every day! But that is the norm for me...my mom didn't call me Chatty Kathy for nothing!

Well, better get going so I can make it to Vicki's group! Tomorrow, another card!

Happy Homemaker Monday

Welcome to Happy Homemaker Monday! Our host each week is Sandra over at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom.

The weather...The temperatures have been dipping into the high 30s and low 40s at night but warm up to a very enjoyable 70 during the day! The weather man is predicting these beautiful days to last for another week at least:) I am certainly not complaining!

Right now I am...Drinking some water and enjoying the quiet while I write this post.

Thinking...About what needs to be done today!

On my reading pile...How to be Organized in Spite of Yourself by Sunny Schlenger and Roberta Roesch.

On my TV...Not a thing at present.

On the menu for this week...

Monday -- Pinto beans, Spanish Rice with green salad
Tuesday -- Gluten free pasta with red sauce and green salad
Wednesday -- Chili and cornbread
Thursday --
Friday -- Potato Corn Chowder
Saturday --
Sunday --

On my to do list...Much of last week's list to finish!

  • Working on my list of 20 things to do before Thanksgiving to get this house "company ready" (deep cleaning stuff)
  • Laundry--always laundry! I try to do one or two loads per day except weekends.
  • Walking on the treadmill
  • Thank you cards for hubby's clients and my customers (I am sooo far behind)--this one should actually get finished today!
  • Design Team projects for The Cupboard Trilogy Challenges
  • Swap cards--one done and ready to mail; 6 more to go (I am involved in two monthly swaps)
  • Box up and take stuff to Thrift Store
As you can see, I will be spending a lot of time in my craft room this week!

What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating...
I will be creating A LOT of cards this week! So many ideas; so little time!

Looking around the house...
Kitchen needs to be cleaning up (sink is plugged again so might not get cleaned up for a bit), dining room table needs cleaned off (our dumping place). Dog toys are strewn around the living room and table beside my chair needs organized.

From the camera...

This is one of the prettiest plants! We put it outside in the summer time and bring it into the greenhouse in the winter. Sometimes it is covered with these beautiful red blossoms!

On my prayer list...

  • Family needing a house to live in
  • Friend living in China working
  • My brother
  • My mom
  • Carla hasn't been feeling well
  • Sandra for transition to go easier; I miss her regular blogging:)
  • Friend who recently lost her husband
Bible verse/Devotional...
"Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul and health to the bones." Proverbs 16:24

Well, that looks like about it for this edition of Happy Homemaker Monday!

Santa's List

Remember this little tease from yesterday? This card is total CASE of one by Mindy Backes at Bada Bing! Papercrafting! This was a quick and easy card to make. You could easily make 10 of these in 20 minutes or less. Sometimes that's what we need...several cards quickly!

Last Wednesday night we made these cards at our Happy Stampers Club. I think it was a real favorite! Now for the full card...

For this card I used the following Stampin' Up! supplies:

  • Paper: Whisper White and Baked Brown Sugar card stock; Season of Style Designer Series Paper
  • Santa's List stamp set
  • Ink: Baked Brown Sugar and Cherry Cobbler
  • Other: Dimensionals
That's it! Super easy peasy!

I will be back a little later with the Happy Homemaker Monday!

Sunday Night Chit-Chat

Welcome to the Sunday Night Chit-Chat hosted each week by Carla at My 1/2 Dozen Daily. Grab a cup of tea, sit back and enjoy!!!

My photo tonight is another little tease from a card my Happy Stampers made last Wednesday night:)

So now, for the Chit-Chat! I am...

Reading...How to be Organized in Spite of Yourself by Sunny Schlenger and Roberta Roesch. Do you think there is any kind of hope that I might get and stay organized? According to this book, it is "time and space management that works with your personal style." We'll see! I am the eternal optimist in this department:)

Listening to...Radio station hubby has playing while he is working outside. I think it's Dean Martin crooning When Fools Rush In.

Watching...Not sure there is anything on the agenda tonight.

Cooking/baking...I have some pinto beans in the pressure cooker and a pot of Spanish rice cooking. No baking today.

Happy I accomplished this week...I was able to get ready for my Happy Stampers Club (met Wednesday) and got our monthly order put in! I got the house partially cleaned but ran out of energy so will have to work on those things I missed this week.

Looking forward to next week...Receiving my stamping order! I love stamping stuff!!! Carla talks about being addicted to fabric. Well, I am addicted to paper, ink, stamps and embellishments:) Right after Christmas I will have to put myself on a stamping diet.

Thankful for today...My strength and energy are returning slowly but surely! We are enjoying 70 degree (F) weather and the weather man says we have another week and a half of it coming! Woo Hoo! That should get me feeling better for sure:D

*Bonus Question* What's the last movie I watched? Did I enjoy it? Any that are currently out that I want to see?
Hey, Carla, that looks like three questions to me!!! lol

  • The last movie I saw was Jack Reacher.
  • It was more violent than I like but then again, I don't like ANY violence.
  • I don't know of any current movies that I would like to see.
Okay, that's it for me tonight! I will be back tomorrow for Happy Homemaker Monday!

Truly Grateful Thanksgiving Card

Remember my tease from Friday? Well, I didn't make it back to show you the rest of the card. My energy just played out and I didn't have anything left! So, I thought I would share it with you today instead!

I am truly grateful for the video that Brandy of Brandy's Cards did. She called it a "10 in 20" and truly it ended up being more like a 10 in 30 but when was the last time you made 10 cards in 30 minutes?!!! I only made one as a sample for our Happy Stampers Club but will be doing her 10 in 30 today as I need a bunch of Thank You cards for hubby's clients! These will be perfect! If you haven't visited Brandy's Cards, you owe it to yourself to check out her videos!

Brandy used Tags 4 You as her center stage on this card but I didn't have it sooo...used what I had! The Truly Grateful stamp set was my biggest "must have" when the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog came out in August and I am sure you can see why! It is Truly Amazing:)

For this card I used the Truly Grateful stamp set to create my own Designer Series Paper. You can do this with any stamp set and can make it as busy or as simple as you want. Of course, the burlap ribbon really added to the WOW factor of this card and burlap is so "in" right now.

For this card I used the following Stampin' Up supplies:

  • Paper: Very Vanilla and Soft Suede card stock
  • Truly Grateful stamp set
  • Ink: Soft Suede, Baked Brown Sugar, Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze
  • 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon
  • Other: Dimensionals and Sticky Strip
I hope you will take the opportunity to make some cards for Thanksgiving this year. What are you most thankful for? I am most thankful for family, friends and my home. I am truly blessed!

Well, I am off to get my Stampin' Up! order put in! See you tonight for the Sunday Night Chit-Chat!

Curried French Green Lentil Soup

I am still trying to recover strength and energy after my cold/flu bout! Does that mean I'm getting old or would it have just been much worse on someone older? I walked 2+ miles on the treadmill 4 days this week so am working my way back to good health.

Speaking of health, this soup was sooo yummy when I was sick! It's called Curried French Lentil Soup and tastes amazing! The curry isn't too strong or too hot and all the ingredients work together to make the perfect fall/winter soup.

You may remember awhile back I told you my hubby bought me a new cookbook...

I am really enjoying this cookbook and the recipe for the Curried French Lentil Soup is on page 269. You can purchase this cookbook at Amazon.com for $18.62 (Amazon prices change quickly and frequently); price listed on the book is $24.95.

Now for the recipe...

Curried French Lentil Soup

1 Tbsp        olive oil
1               large onion, chopped
3               carrots, peeled and chopped
2               stalks celery with leaves, chopped
4               cloves garlic, minced
1 Tbsp       Curry Powder (I used Sambar Curry Powder--Masala)
10 cups      Vegetable Broth
1               can (28 oz) diced tomatoes with juice
2 cups        French puy lentils, picked through and rinsed
2               bay leaves
2 cups        cubed red potatoes
3/4 tsp       salt
3/4 tsp       freshly ground black pepper
2 Tbsp       chopped fresh parsley
  1. Place a large saucepan over medium heat and let pan get hot. Add oil and tip pan to coat. Add onion, carrots, celery and garlic and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened, 8 to 10 minutes. Stir in curry, broth, tomatoes with juice, lentils and bay leaves and bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer, for 35 minutes. Add potatoes and cook until potatoes and lentils are tender, 15 to 20 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat. Stir in salt, pepper and parsley. Discard bay leaves and serve hot.
This would be a great recipe to add to your list for Meatless Mondays:) Do you do a Meatless day during the week? I really enjoy watching The Chew while I walk on the treadmill and they talk a lot about doing Meatless Mondays! Of course, we are meatless everyday!

I am going to try to get back with a card a little later today and here is a preview...

Have a great day!

BOO

My Stampin' Up team member and very good friend, Margarita, sent me this card! Oh. How. Cute!!! This is a side-step card. I don't know all the supplies she used on this card but will tell you what I know...

  • Paper: Basic Gray, Night of Navy, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Crumb Cake and Old Olive card stock; gold glitter paper
  • Googly Ghouls stamp set (retired); not sure about the sentiment
  • Punches: Bat (retired); Owl Builder Punch (for ghost); leaves on pumpkin from the Bird Builder Punch; 1 3/8" Circle Punch
  • Looks like the pumpkin might have been made using the Ovals Collection Framelits and the BOO is from the Typeset Alphabet Bigz Dies (on my Christmas list)
  • Dimensionals; Googly Eyes; Plastic Mesh (behind the BOO); maybe a Glue Dot or two:)

Check out her cute little tombstones!

And this adorable pumpkin!

Thank you, Margarita for sending me this card! I love it!!! Margarita reads my blog so be sure to leave a comment telling her what you think of her card!

As my regular readers know, I do a monthly one-to-one card swap with my Happy Stampers and some of Margarita's customers as well. But what you don't know is that Margarita has her own swap with her customers and many times they swap with everybody meaning you make a card for each person in the group. This is great because then you get several different cards! I signed up this month to be a part of Margarita's group and am so anxious to see what cards I get. There are seven of us swapping this month so need to make six of one kind of card! I think I will be using the Festive Flurry stamp set and framelits for my card!

Have a great day! I will be in my craft room stamping up a storm today...with a huge smile on my face!!!
