Happy Homemaker Monday

Great new picture for the Happy Homemaker Monday courtesy of Sandra at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom. Sandra hosts Happy Homemaker Monday each week.

Strange thing happened this morning! I haven't heard from my niece for awhile so decided to send a quick email to check in. I sent to the email address on my iPad and got an email back saying I had sent it to the wrong person. Hmmm! So, got the trusty computer out and sure enough, the email address was so close but NOT correct! Well, it is off to my niece now so all is good!

How are you this fine (cold) Monday morning! What can I expect for November, right?!!! Do you live where it is snowing like crazy? How bizarre for it to be snowing across the southern states?!!! Well, best get on with the Happy Homemaker Monday or I will never get my housework done today!

As I look outside my window...
The sun is shining; the sky is blue! Leaves have started but not finished falling off the trees so everything just looks scraggly! The temp outside is 38 degrees (F) which is warmer than it has been but still cold in my book. So thankful for a nice warm fire:)

Right now I am...
Sitting in my chair by the wood stove, soaking up the heat and drinking a cup of Yogi Blueberry Slim Life tea. Don't know about the "slim" part but it sure is yummy!

Thinking and pondering...
About all I have left to get done before Thanksgiving! Why oh why don't I have a housekeeper??? I love to cook and entertain but housework is a challenge for me. Don't get me wrong, my house looks okay for us but when I have company coming all of a sudden I see all the areas I haven't cleaned for a very long time.

On my bedside table...
Working through my little Jenga pile of books:) Currently reading The Beach House by Mary Alice Monroe. For our read aloud we are on the last book in Louis L'Amour's Sackett series, Lonely on the Mountain.

On my TV tonight...
Nothing! I think this will be a reading night:)

Playing on the radio...
Nothing! House is quiet except for the snore of our English Bulldog, Rocky!

On the menu for this week...

Monday -- leftover Mizidra (just me at home today)
Tuesday -- Baked potatoes and squash, cauliflower
Wednesday -- Vegetable Stew and green salad
Thursday -- Thanksgiving: Tofurky, bread dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, Brussels sprouts, green salad with homemade dressing. Plus pies: Pumpkin and Pecan with Coconut Milk Whipped Topping
Friday -- Leftovers
Saturday -- Potato Leek Soup
Sunday -- ???

On my to do list...

  • Clean the Casita (guest apartment)
  • Laundry
  • Make a few more cards
  • Clean out the refrigerator
  • Shampoo carpet (hoping to get hubby to help with this one)
What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting, or creating...
  • As soon as Thanksgiving is over, I need to get my sewing machine out and start making doll clothes! I want to have at least 4 outfits made to give my granddaughter with her American Girl doll for Christmas.
  • Still putting my granny squares together; might take this on vacation with me.
  • Planning to make some dishtowels that hang with matching dish cloths.
  • Socks on hold (again)! I need to get with my friend Barb to figure out where I went wrong. Of course, I could always rip out and start again!!!
My simple pleasure...
Holding hands with my hubby while we watch a movie or drive somewhere. I never get tired of it!

Lesson learned the past week...
Some people just are not trustworthy no matter how much you try to give them the benefit of the doubt!

Looking around the house...
The dogs are stretched out in front of the wood stove, enjoying the heat! Breakfast dishes need to be done and living room needs straightening. I love my house. It is simple but oh so comfortable!

From the camera...

Just as the sun was going down last night I saw these interesting clouds and had to snap a few pictures! The clouds were almost curly!

I moved over a little to get this one! All I could say was WOW!

Prayer List...

  • Nephew and his wife who are expecting their first child. Complications and need prayer.
  • German friend living in China for several months.
  • Housing for family in Washington
  • Mother's health
  • Sister's upcoming hip surgery; needs someone to care for her following surgery.
  • My attitude toward uncharitable individuals
Bible verse/Devotional...
"Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." Hebrews 4:16

Sunday Night Chit-Chat

It has been a quiet weekend for me and that's good! Last night I spent a couple hours making cards. I have been putting it off because there isn't a regular source of heat in my craft room and it was really cold up there! However, the last few days we've had a fire going in the wood stove downstairs so the upstairs has heated as well. One thing I've learned...my stamps don't like cold! They don't stick to the Clear Blocks very well when they are cold. I don't work well when I'm cold either! So a few hours crafting in a heated craft area was good:)

It's time for the Sunday Night Chit-Chat hosted each week by the uber talented Carla at My 1/2 Dozen Daily. She has had a snow-dump in the last 24 hours! So glad it's not me!

I wasn't sure anything would show up in this photo I took last evening of the oh so beautiful sunset! My little point and shoot amazes me sometimes. That little pointy thing in the center of the horizon of this photo is Mount Hood. The colors were absolutely stunning!

Okay, let's get started!

I am...

  • Reading: The Beach House by Mary Alice Monroe;
  • Listening to: True Love by Jude Devereaux (while working on my cards)
  • Watching: Hoping to be able to watch The Paradise tonight on PBS (hubby is reading a book on my iPad so this just might be possible:)
  • Cooking/Baking: We are having Mizidra today for dinner; it's been a few weeks since we last had it.
  • Happy you accomplished this week: I got the six swap cards ready to mail--been on my "to list" for weeks! Hoping to get a few more cards finished today yet.
  • Looking forward to next week: Thanksgiving is this Thursday. Look forward to spending it with family and friends. I also enjoy a nice big piece of pumpkin pie and will be eating more than my share of bread dressing. I am making it this year with Sprouted Wheat Bread so will see how it turns out.
  • Thankful for today: So many things! I am especially thankful today for good food to eat; a winter's supply of wood to heat our house; my wonderful family! I am truly blessed!
  • *Bonus Question* When do our Christmas decorations got up? The few that I plan to put up will go up the first week of December!
Okay, that's it for me this cold November evening!

November Swap Cards #2

The weather outside is frightfully cold but the sun is shining. The sun is a good thing any time of year when you run your house on solar power:) While it has been dipping down into the teens here...brrr...my heart has been warmed by the beautiful swap cards I have been receiving in the mail! What a great group of talented ladies!

This first card is from Liann. What a sweet card!

But wait, this is not just an ordinary card...

Turn it over and it's an envelope closed with velcro.

When you open it up there is a place for your message or maybe a gift card!  I am not sure but I think Liann might have used the Envelope Punch Board to make this card! Great card, Liann! Thanks so much!

Since I didn't post yesterday, I will share one more of the November Swap Cards with you.

This card was made by Mieka. It looks like she used the Boho Blossom Punch to make the wreath. I like the traditional colors although I seem to be using a lot of Island Indigo and Pool Party to make holiday cards this year. My die-hard blog readers will remember that Mieka showed my daughter and me how to make a super cute Halloween Card. Thank you Mieka!

I have three more cards to share with you next week and I just may have saved the best for last but you decide:)

Have a great weekend!

Happy Stampers Semi-Flip Card and a SALE

I need to make a lot of cards today! I love when I am able to spend several hours at a time at my crafting table! Woo Hoo!

Today is the beginning of Stampin' Up!'s Holiday Sale! You can place an order by emailing me or by going to www.stampinup.com and choosing me (Kathy Skinner) as your demonstrator (if you don't already have a demonstrator)! NOTE: The first 3 items on the list are on sale for 30% off on November 20 ONLY!

Now, for one of the fun Happy Stamper Club cards we made last Wednesday!

I really wanted the Santa on the front of this card but after I got it done I realized it looked better with the Festive Flurry snowflakes on both sides. Some of my Happy Stamps sponged around the Santa and it looked great!

Same card opened! Don't you love the Festive Flurry snowflake?!!!
This fun and amazing card is one I saw on Dawn Griffith's website Dawn's Stamping Thoughts! The link will take you right to her video tutorial. She has such amazing cards on her website and lots of instructional videos...be sure to check her out!

For this card I used the following Stampin' Up! supplies:

  • Paper: Whisper White cardstock and Seasons of Style Designer Series Paper
  • Stamp Sets: Festive Flurry, Santa's List and Sassy Salutations
  • Ink: Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive
  • Big Shot with Labels Collection Framelits and Festive Flurry Framelits
Have a great day!

November Swap Card #1

Yesterday was a busy day shopping in Portland! Costco, Trader Joe's and The Barn! We got a lot of shopping done but ran out of energy before we got everything on the list. Hopefully we will be able to make one more shopping trip before Christmas!

It seems like I have been promising you a card for a week now and I will not disappoint today:)

This card was sent to me by Charina! It is a real WOW card for sure!

Check out this adorable fireplace!

Plus Charina included this little calendar card with her swap card...

Isn't this amazing!

She may have used her Cricut for this card!

Thank you Charina for these great cards!!!

Sunday Night Chit-Chat

Welcome to the Sunday Night Chit-Chat! I am sitting in a motel room in Portland, OR tonight trying to do this post on my iPad using Blogsy so not sure what it's going to look like when I post it! I am learning to like Blogsy but we are far from BFF's yet! Our DS is home with the pets while we enjoy a little time in the city!

The Sunday Night Chit-Chat is hosted each week by Carla at My 1/2 Dozen Daily so be sure to check out her blog to see what she's been up to.

Silly dogs! Not sure how this happened but the dogs stayed in this position long enough for me to take a few pictures!

So let's get started!
I am...
  • Reading: Me and My Sisters by Sinead Moriarty
  • Listening to: the hum of the heating unit in our room
  • Watching: watched Gravity in 3D this afternoon; not sure what's on the agenda for tonight.
  • Cooking/Baking: Nothing! We ate lunch at Sweet Tomatoes today before the movie. Hubby has gone off to get something for dinner. We will be eating out tomorrow, then back home tomorrow evening. What a treat!
  • Happy you accomplished this week: I managed to pull off stamping club for another month. Also happy our kitchen drain is flowing freely after two + weeks of being plugged! The accomplishment in this is that my husband is still living and I only lost my patience once during the ordeal:P
  • Looking forward to next week: Shopping tomorrow; Stampin' Up! Holiday Sale starting on Wednesday; my new Miche bags arriving via FedEx!
  • Thankful for today: Having a couple days "away" with my handsome hunk of husband!
  • *Bonus Question: Do you believe in "good/bad luck & coincidences"? I don't believe in luck but do believe in God's providence! The "luck" is that we have a God who loves us and sends his holy angels to care for us. I think we oftentimes make our own "good/bad luck" by hard work or lack thereof; making good or bad decisions.
Well, that's it for me tonight. If this post looks messy, I will clean it up when I get home.

Have a great night!

A Traumatical Day

Petey hated having his picture taken but I managed to get this one yesterday
before we had to take him to the Vet

I meant to get back yesterday with a card but my day took a bad turn. Our precious 13 year old Miniature Dachshund, Petey, has had a tumor for about six months and I knew his time was nearly up but was hesitant to take him to the Vet to be put to sleep. Yesterday, without giving the gory details, it became emergent that we take him to the Vet.

The whole situation was so "traumatical" (granddaughter's word) that I couldn't even think about blogging. As much as I loved Petey, I didn't realize how lost I would feel without him. Last night something as simple as making a salad had me in tears! For the last 13 years he has been my constant companion when I am cooking. He loved getting bits of carrot, cucumber, celery and radish! He also loved bites of fruit when I was cutting it up!

Petey and Rocky soaking up some heat in
front of the fire.

Today has been a struggle as I didn't realize how intrically woven our daily lives had become. It just kinda sneaked up on me! I just tried to stay busy so I didn't have too much time to think about him.

From the time we got Petey as an 8 week old puppy, he was the alpha dog in every situation...with a Chow, Great Danes, Labs, our English Bulldog! The English Bulldog would try for the alpha position repeatedly but our little 8 pound Petey would put him in his place every time!

Petey was always happy...till the very end. He was rarely any trouble. He was absolutely, hands down, the best pet and companion I have ever had. He was greatly loved and will be missed!

Update on Miche

Good morning friends!

In my last post I told you about my new love affair with Miche and how I missed out on last week's Throwback Thursday Deal for an adorable red wristlet for just $9.95 because I hesitated! Well, this morning I checked on the Throwback Thurday Deal and it is (was) a Prima Shell in a reddish brown color for...wait for it...only $12.95! I was sooo excited! The Prima Shells regular prices are between $39.95 and $69.95! And, yes, that is a picture of it at the top! While I was at it I ordered a brown Classic Shell in the sale section for $14.95! I can hardly wait till it gets here!!! Shipping doesn't take very long; I will receive my order via FedEx early next week!

If you are at all interested in Miche Bags, be sure to check out Throwback Thursday (in the sale section) at 8:00 a.m. (Pacific Time); any later and you might miss out!

I will be back a little later with a stunning swap card I received in the mail yesterday!

**Note: I have not been paid or in anyway compensated for my posts on Miche Bags. I just happen to like Gizell (Miche Consultant) and LOVE Miche Bags!!!

Have You Heard of Miche Bags?

I was going to wait till after Christmas to do a post about Miche Bags but I am so excited about them I couldn't wait! So maybe I'll do another one after Christmas:)

Why am I so excited about Miche Bags? I saw my first Miche Bag about two years ago at a county fair and was smitten. I LOVE having different purses for different outfits but HATE to change purses! I have 10+ purses and every time I change purses something gets left behind so all these purses have something in them. Things get lost...what purse did I leave that in? With Miche, you buy one, two or three Base Bags--for me they would be different sizes--then purchase Shells to change the look of your bags! Tada! No changing purses!!! The Shells attach to strong magnets on the Base Bag! What a brilliant idea!!!

My favorite sized bag is a large tote bag which I carry most of the time. Occasionally it is nice to have a smaller bag, especially when going to a wedding, funeral, out to a nice dinner, etc. Currently I carry this bag...

It is beautiful! I love it! But what about when I want to carry a black purse? Or a red one? Then I have to dump everything out, transfer some of the items to another purse and...same old problem:(

Last summer I ran into Gizell Camero at the Oregon State Fair and chatted with her a bit, looked over the merchandise and was smitten all over again. However, I didn't think I wanted to spend $39.95 for the Prima (big) Base Bag I wanted plus $44.95 for my first shell. So I waited and checked Gizell's website frequently, hoping for a sale. Finally about a month ago, Miche had a 1/2 off sale for the base bags!!! Woo Hoo! I jumped on it getting my black base bag for $20 + shipping. This is my new Miche Base Bag in black...

Not much to look at but I can change the look with any of these Prima Shells.

Now I have the Morgan Shell on my Christmas Wish List:) And am lusting after this bag which is part of their Hope line for Breast Cancer Awareness...

I can purchase a set of braided handles that will go quite nicely!

Plus, did you know Miche has a Throwback Thursday where starting at 8:00 am till sellout, they offer an item for up to 90% off? I had a cute red wallet type clutch in my shopping cart but was hesitating. It was only $9.95, WHY was I hesitating?!!! When I got back to the shopping cart an hour later, the item was gone. PLUS...

Friday November 29th-Monday December 2nd 12am-12pm, BLACK FRIDAY - CYBER MONDAY, www.gizell.miche.com, stay on the lookout, Miche LOVES to surprise us with AMAZING deals!

Well, now that I have shared my new addiction with you I am off to get ready for Happy Stampers Club (tomorrow--eek!) and to finish my swap cards so they can get in the mail tomorrow.

Have a great day!

Happy Homemaker Monday

Welcome to Happy Homemaker Monday! As usual, we are hosted by Sandra at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom

I am super late getting this posted but it is still Monday so guess that's okay. I have had a plugged up kitchen sink for two weeks so dishes and cooking took twice as long as usual having to haul water from the bathroom and doing dishes in tubs on the counter. Today the sink is finally flowing free plus hubby put in a new faucet which was really needed!

So, let's get started!

As I look outside my window...
Well, it is night now so it is dark...and cold! It didn't get very warm today so I was super thankful for our wood stove and a good supply of wood.

Right now I am...
Talking on the phone with my daughter while typing this post. My darling granddaughter "broke" as Stampin' Up! stamp pad so had to talk my daughter through putting it back together again. I can do it but wasn't sure I could talk her through it. Success!!!

Thinking and pondering...
Thinking about what projects we are going to do for our Happy Stampers Club on Wednesday.

On my bedside table...
Me and my Sisters by Sinead Moriarty
We are on our last book in Louis L'Amour's Sackett series! I think there are 17 in all.

On my TV tonight...
I watched Paradise on PBS last night! I think I am going to like that series:)

Playing on the radio...
Sounds like elevator music playing in the background.

On the menu for this week...
Monday -- Haystacks (tortilla chips, pinto beans, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, olives, avocado, salsa)
Tuesday -- Vegetable Stew
Wednesday -- Town Day
Thursday --
Friday --
Saturday -- Church Potluck
Sunday --

On my to do list...

  • Get projects ready for Happy Stampers Club
  • Make swap cards (nope, still don't have these finished)
  • Clean kitchen
  • Work on my 20 things to get done before Thanksgiving
What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or crafting...
  • I finished a crocheted scarf using some yummy llama wool. I am hoping to purchase some more soon.
  • I am joining my granny squares! It's about time, right?!!!
  • Crocheting a pair of slippers
  • Cards! Cards! Cards!

My simple pleasure...
Blogging:) I love to blog, especially when it's quiet and I am alone with my thoughts!

Lesson learned the past week...
I think Sandra and I must have had some similar experiences this week. I got super annoyed with someone who said some not very nice things to me. After stewing for a bit, the verse came to me, "Great peace have they which love thy law and nothing shall offend them." Psalm 119:165.

Looking around the house...
Cat's sleeping on the couch; dogs are sleeping on the floor next to me; hubby is reading on his computer in his chair. We won't talk about the kitchen...I did some cleaning but it needs a lot of work tomorrow.

From the camera...

The cactus I started for my daughter is blooming!
On my prayer list...

  • Family of a friend who died recently
  • My family members for various reasons
  • Friend with health issues
Bible verse; Devotional...
I have to go with the one I quoted above as I keep having to repeat it each time the enemy reminds me of the hurtful words...
"Great peace have they which love thy law and nothing shall offend them." ---Psalm 119:165.

Well, that's it for me tonight! Time to go to bed, read a couple chapters in my book and get some shut-eye!

Christmas Wishes

Yesterday kinda got away from me and I didn't get a post up! That's what I get for blogging "in the moment" instead of having some scheduled and ready to go. Someday, maybe!

Today it is foggy and cold:( At 1:00 in the afternoon it is still only 42 degrees (F)! The fog makes everything look dark and dreary.

I am participating in two monthly card swaps: the Happy Stampers Swap that I coordinate and another swap my Stampin' Up! team member, Margarita, coordinates. Margarita's swap has us sending to ALL the participants making that six cards this month. I recently received my swap from Ella and it is AMAZING!!!

This is what this awesome card looks like closed. check out the coffee packet attached in a very unique way using a Scallop Circle Punch and a Circle Punch! I love the Mosaic punched out of sparkly paper and topped with Candy Dots!

The card opened shows all kinds of wonderful elements! Do you see the retired Stampin' Up! Ornament Punch?

This is a great card and a big THANKS to Ella for sending it!

Have a great day!

Happy Homemaker Monday

Welcome to Happy Homemaker Monday! Sandra at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom is our weekly host so be sure to hop on over to her blog to see what's up!

So let's get started!

As I look outside my window...
The clouds are rolling in:( It was bright and sunny this morning. Cold, but sunny! The temperature dipped to a low of 32 degrees (F) and doesn't look like it will get over 45 degrees today. I think the weather report is predicting rain for tomorrow.

Right now I am...
Cooking some lunch/dinner while writing this post. I just fed hubby and the electrician who is hooking up our new solar array so now it is time to think about something for me.

Thinking and pondering...
I have been trying to decide on a menu for Thanksgiving; thinking about the swap card I want to make six of; thinking about projects for my next Happy Stampers Club.

On my bedside table...
  • Still reading How to be Organized in Spite of Yourself by Sunny Schlenger and Roberta Roesch.
  • Starting Me and My Sisters by Sinead Moriarty (recommendation from DD)
  • Read aloud: Ride the Dark Trail by Louis L'Amour (only one more book to go in the Sackett series after this one)
On my TV tonight...
Maybe a little of The Voice but not sure.

Playing on the radio...Nothing!

On the menu for this week...
Tuesday -- Leftover Curried French Green Lentil Soup (add some kale, extra carrots and potatoes) on Basmati rice
Wednesday --
Thursday --
Friday -- Potato Corn Chowder (didn't end up having last week)
Saturday -- Potluck at Church
Sunday -- Mizidra

On my to do list...
  • Make swap cards
  • Dishes--camping style!
  • Laundry
  • Clean kitchen
  • My list of 20 (deep cleaning) things to do before Thanksgiving
  • Finish organizing/cleaning my office
What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating...
  • Cards
  • Crocheting the blocks together for my Granny Square Afghan
My simple pleasure...
Spending a couple of uninterrupted hours at my craft table:) Bliss!

Lesson learned the past week...
I had something and was going to write it down (and didn't) but then forgot what it was so I must not have learned it very well:(

Looking around the house...
  • Kitchen is a disaster after cooking lunch/dinner! Kitchen sink still not draining so hubby will most likely have to cut out a section of pipe under the house and replace it (he is NOT looking forward to this job).
  • Dogs enjoying the heat from the wood stove.
  • Everything pretty tidy if you don't look at the kitchen.
From the camera...

Our new solar array that is being hooked up today. And yes, I do have a post planned:) The windows are part of the greenhouse. The greenhouse is covered with Lexan to allow light and heat in. Hubby has shade cloth to pull across the ceiling when it gets too hot.

On my prayer list...
  • Friend who lost her husband in September
  • Brother
  • Sister in need of hip surgery
  • Family needing a house; currently living in a motel
Bible verse/Devotional...
"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."   James 1:5

Creative Post Due

Yesterday I showed you the picture below and said it was a "tease" so today I will show you the rest of the project!

I couldn't believe I forgot to post this project as we made it at our Happy Stampers Club in August! In August the Happy Stampers made projects suitable for gifts.

Getting a good picture of the whole project was a challenge with my little point and shoot camera. I am still trying to talk hubby into buying a new camera for work and giving me his old one. I think I am making progress:)

For this project, I totally CASEd one I found on Pinterest done by Melissa Davies at Rubberfunatics

I love the flower in the corner. This project uses two of my favorite stamp sets...Creative Elements and Postage Due.

For this project I used the following Stampin' Up! supplies:

  • Paper: Very Vanilla, Sahara Sand, Early Espresso and Crumb Cake cardstock
  • Stamps: Creative Elements, Postage Due and Loving Thoughts
  • Ink: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake and Sahara Sand
  • Other: Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder, Scallop Squares Duo Bigz Die (retired), Postage Stamp Punch, Early Espresso Bakers Twine, Basic Pearl, Dimensionals and Glue Dots.

This was a fun project! I am looking forward to doing more framed projects.

I will be back a little later today with Happy Homemaker Monday!

Sunday Night Chit-Chat

Hello and welcome to the Sunday Night Chit-Chat! Our weekly host is the very talented Carla at My 1/2 Dozen Daily. Check in with her to see the beautiful aprons she recently made for a custom order. She does exquisite custom sewing and I am the proud owner of some of her beautiful creations.

A little tease of a project I will show later this week.
I am...

Reading...Well, I took a break from reading How to Organized in Spite of Yourself by Sunny Schlenger and Roberta Roesch and read two more Debbie Macomber books. This week I will be back to reading about how to get organized; I sure do need it!

Listening to...absolute quiet:)

Watching...Nothing! I may see what's on so I can watch while I am working on my Granny Square Afghan. Yes, indeed, I have picked it up again and am putting those squares together:)

Cooking/baking...I cooked up a pot of Curried French Green Lentil Soup on Friday that will last us a week! Well, maybe not quite that long; we will finish it up to tomorrow over rice. I bake two loaves of Whole Wheat Bread--haven't done that for awhile because we have been eating store-bought sprouted wheat bread.

Happy I accomplished this week...I have been working on my 20 things to get done before Thanksgiving. Each one of these things should be broken down into smaller pieces but I am working my way through the list...slowly!

Looking forward to next week...I am looking forward to getting some organizing done that I have been working on for months.

Thankful for today...Hubby was able to get the storm door on the front of the house replaced before the cold, rain and winds came. It is the side of the house that takes the brunt of the weather.

*Bonus Question* Describe my "perfect pizza"? First of all, pizza is my favorite food! However, I am not able to eat my "perfect pizza" anymore:( It was the Gourmet Vegetarian from Papa Murphy's Pizza with a creamy garlic sauce, lots of veggies including artichoke hearts, mushrooms, spinach...yum! We now order the Gourmet Vegetarian with red sauce and no cheese--not the same but better than no pizza at all. It doesn't matter to me if the crust is thick or thin as long as it is good tasting.

Well, that's it for me tonight. I will be back tomorrow for Happy Homemaker Monday.

Another Cupboard Trilogy Design Team Project

Now for my second Design Team project for The Cupboard Trilogy Challenges! Again I used circles, not spots! My circles being the ornaments and the circular paper doily. Hey! I got the stripes right again though!

I am loving the combination of Island Indigo, Coastal Cabana, Pool Party and Smoky Slate! I don't normally like blue but I am constantly being drawn to Island Indigo!

Did you know that you can still purchase the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set and Framelits even though they aren't in the current catalog? Well, the answer is YES you can! I love this set and these ornaments were perfect for this card.

For this card I used the following Stampin' Up! supplies:

  • Paper: Island Indigo and Whisper White cardstock; Silver Glimmer Paper; Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper
  • Stamps: Ornament Keepsakes and Endless Wishes Photopolymer
  • Ink: Coastal Cabana and Island Indigo
  • Other: Decorative Label Punch, Holiday Ornaments Framelits, Tea Lace Paper Doily, Silver 1/8" Ribbon, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals and Glue Dots
It's supposed to get cold here this weekend with lots of wind. I will be thankful for our wood stove and good supply of wood! It's time to bring out my winter clothes and my Keen Bern Baby Bern boots! They will be three years old in December and still look like new!

Stay warm and have a great weekend!
